Senior BJP leader and former deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta reiterated that no other government has done so much which the BJP government under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi has accomplished to embark Jammu and Kashmir on a glorious journey of development wherein infra, services, facilities and public welfare have gained new heights.

He was speaking after starting blacktopping of roads at Sainik Colony, Ward No 70, Jammu, in presence of prominent people of the area. Vinay Gupta, District President and Corporator Narinder Singh Bunty accompanied the former Deputy Chief Minister.

Addressing the gathering, Kavinder said that not much time has passed when the people in the UT were longing for mere basic facilities but the same were denied by the so-called Kashmir centric leaders. He said that soon after Narendra Modi took over the reign of the country things took a pleasant turn especially in J&K which is close to the heart of the PM as after abrogation of Article 370, he ensured that every public welfare initiative should arrive in the UT before going to any other state or UT. He said that this is the reason that for the first time in history highway projects AIIMS, IIT, IIM, ring roads, etc are moving at a fast pace. “There are umpteen tourism projects and schemes to lure tourists from across the country and even abroad”, Kavinder, said adding that this is just a start as soon people will get more surprises on development and progress of the Union Territory.

During his interaction with the residents of the area, the former Deputy Chief Minister was apprised by the public about the lack of other basic facilities. He listened keenly and patiently to them. Taking note of all the genuine demands, Kavinder assured to get their grievances redressed at the earliest. He asserted that it is his duty to fight and work for the public of his constituency.

Kavinder appealed to the residents of the area to become proactive and remain vigilant about the ongoing works in their area. He told them if they find anything fishy in the execution of the work started today, they should directly come and register complaint with him.

Kavinder asserted that all round development of Jammu and Kashmir is the prime objective of BJP and the party will continue to do the same in the coming time.
